3.7.2 Loading a saved game

There are two different ways to load a file with a saved game status

  • Main Panel, Menu “File” → “Load Saved Game”: This opens a file dialog listing all files of the current save directory. You can select any file containing saved data, no matter what territory is currently loaded. The system will try to match the correct territory file for you and load that and the saved data.

  • From the Start Option panel when you hit the Start button just after the scene was loaded. It is assumed the loaded territory is the one you want to run. The system will look if there are any saved data available for this particular territory, even if you used different directories – but only for this one –, and if so, will offer to load such a file besides of the usual start options.

Either way the simulator will load the data to allow continuing from the weekday and time as it was when the data were saved. If the simulator was in asynchronous mode at the time the data were saved, the time factor is also restored and CTC starts the simulation if it was running at the time when the data were saved.

If the simulator was in synchronous mode at the time the data were saved, the time factor will be set to 1:1, and the simulation will start right away in asynchronous mode.
